about

This is the first song I recorded on my 4 track in 1994.

lyrics

Blocking the escalator
I want to pass
But I don't feel like raising my voice or telling you to move
Keeping things the same
The way they are today
Nothing can hurt you you may say but maybe not out loud
Eyes in the back of my head have got me looking around
Sometimes the future come and creeps around now face it
Nothing looks exactly the same when seen through different eyes
How things are perceived blindly maybe opinion
You swear does not exist but you never agree
Because you are right and everyone is wrong
You try to keep people down and wish they'd all move on
Everybody's an expert on something
No one can win
Eyes in the back of my head have got me looking around
Sometimes the future come and creeps around now face it
Nothing looks exactly the same when seen through different eyes
How things are perceived blindly maybe opinion
Outward appearance not obvious
Then you wonder
If and when you will crack
Who or what are you blaming your problems on but yourself
And they escort you out of the building and say good luck
You expressed your opinion all too wrong
And they say you're wrong
Now you must move
Go think on your own time

DartAjax represents the solo recorded output of David Leonard, of San Francisco, CA. He (me) has played drums in a number of bands and still does. He plays all the instruments in the DartAjax stuff (usually drums, bass, guitar, and vocals). He wrote and recorded all of these songs on his own. ... more
